Nancy Heyer Study Grant
The Nancy Heyer Study Grant is open to new or existing students, 18 years or younger, who study any instrument with a current WSMTA Bellingham Chapter member. Applicants will be considered based on financial need and a statement of musical commitment. They must also be accepted into the studio of a WSMTA teacher member before applying.
The grant may be used to offset the cost of music lessons OR other expenses associated with lessons including scores, tunings, instrument repair, and MTNA or WSMTA event fees (such as Music Artistry Program, Music Literacy Program/Music Olympics, Masterclasses, and the Sonata/Sonatina Festival). Grants of up to $1200* may be awarded within one year and may be approved for additional years at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee. Students seeking grant renewal after one year must submit another application to the committee for consideration.

*Monthly tuition grants will be paid directly to the teacher at the conclusion of each month. One time grants for events, tunings, etc. will be reimbursed directly to students within 30 days. Payments are contingent on the Bellingham Chapter Board approval.

Teacher Enrichment Fund Grants
The Teacher Enrichment Fund exists to support our members in the participation of BMTA, WSMTA and MTNA activities. The fund may be used to cover the costs of the BMTA chapter fee, workshops, conferences, certification, and other learning opportunities.
