Present: Eva Sauve, Michael Hannon, Andrea Rackl, Rabia Magnusson, Kaitlyn Ronstadt, Nathan Campbell Meeting called to order at 8:34 am by Eva September Board Meeting Minutes Approved - Andrea Moves - Rabia Seconds Treasurer’s Report: - Checking: $5,286 - Savings: $6,690 (This includes the Nancy Heyer Scholarship Fund) - Sonata/Sonatina Festival broke even - Updated Member list will be out by end of October Board Approval Form: Halloween Recital - Raffle prizes will be announced by end of next week - Families can buy tickets before or at the recital - Andrea moves to approve - Michael seconds Board Approval Form: Sonata/Sonatina Festival - Signup has covered estimated cost - Registration closes Friday, October 3rd - Schedule will be posted then - Kaitlyn moves to approve - Andrea Seconds Honors Recital Discussion: - Cost is significantly higher than in previous years - Ideas: - Raise MAP fee by $5 (currently MAP is $15) - Hold at First Congregational Church - Hold at Whatcom Museum - Ask for Donations at recital - Board decides to keep it at WWU, to raise MAP fees and to ask for donations Teacher Enrichment Fund: - Discussion on use for covering chapter fee - Eva will write an updated description and email it to the board for approval - $200 cap per person per year - Nathan moves to approve the cap - Kaitlyn seconds Meeting concludes at 9:24 am Submitted respectfully by Nathan Campbell |
