Present: Eva Sauve, Michael Hannon, Mary Walby, Rabia Magnusson, Sarah Macpherson-Hanson, Leah Bruno, Dorie Blue, Debra Chang, Nathan Campbell, Vanessa Ellis, Kaitlyn Ronstadt, Brittany Schwegler Meeting Called to Order at 9:37 am by Eva February General Minutes Approved: - Dorie Moves - Debra Seconds Treasurer’s Report: Checking $7,861 Savings: $6,706 - Music Olympics generated $1,242 from registrations - Honor’s Recital received $55 in Donations Live Presentations Tax: - Check the email sent about it Honor’s Recital: Discussion of changing the rules about Honor’s Recital Participation - Proposal to change the distribution of MAP participants and Honor’s Recital Reps: - 1-5 MAP participants = 1 Honors recital Rep - 6-12 MAP participants = 2 Honor’s recital Reps - Recital should continue to have a 5 min limit (this rule is in accordance with state guidelines) - Official Document needed for clarity - Motion to change rules allowing competition winners to perform in the Honor’s Recital - Change allows the competition winners to participate in the Honor’s Recital even if beyond the teachers’ limit. - This only applies if the competition winner is also selected to perform from MAP. - Quorum needed to approve. Discussion will continue at the September General Meeting. ($250) Waiting on Committee Reports for: - MAP - Chapter Competition - Honor’s Recital (Waiting for WWU Invoice) Nancy Heyer Scholarship Discussion: Does the intention of the scholarship need clarification?
